Biography
Esther offers a wealth of experience having excelled in her career within two unique industries: real estate and pharmacy. For 18 years, Esther met the pharmaceutical needs of her patients, working in pediatrics, oncology, fertility, narcotics, and long-term care settings. As a licensed pharmacist in Maryland and Georgia, Esther offered dispensing, dosage adjusting, medication reviews, and clinical services to diverse populations, having worked at Kaiser Permanente, Stadtlanders Pharmacy, and PharMerica over the course of her robust career. With a certification in pain management, Esther was especially valuable to her patients in specialty care facilities as they transitioned from the hospital to long-term care.

Esther acquired her Master’s in Public Health from Emory University, and she spent one year working with the drug safety team at Solvay Pharmaceuticals in Marietta, Georgia. There she served as the expert witness for several cases in which injury or death was attributed to medication therapy. Her education and experience set her on a path to more fully understand the extensive scope of the industry including the political, policy, and funding implications.

A continuous learner who delights in the next challenge, Esther later pursued her real estate license and eventually her Commercial Real Estate Certificate from Cornell University. Her active engagement in the real estate industry culminated with the launch of her brokerage, Bess Consulting & Real Estate Services. Through dedicated research and a market-savvy approach, Esther provides her clients with their best options for an ideal home, neighborhood, and community. Esther is quick to make the most of every situation, and when the economy took a downturn, she began focusing on property preservation. This unexpected shift in focus led her to launch a property management division where she now manages 40 properties in addition to working with owner-occupants, investors, contractors, and property managers.

Esther’s education does not stop there. She is a Wellness Coach certified through the Mayo School of Health Sciences, and she holds multiple real estate certifications which have allowed her to expand her real estate reach. Recently, Esther leveraged her real estate expertise, her healthcare and wellness experience, and her international passions, in her work as the Sustainability & Real Estate Consulting Officer for the Elite Trends Group, an investment and consulting firm that specializes in bringing support and financing projects to Africa. As a member of the Senior Executive Team, Esther offers a unique perspective on real estate project valuation, marketing, and health and wellness impacts.

Additionally, she serves as the Sustainability Director with the Ghana International Chamber of Commerce in Atlanta, Georgia. She was part of the planning team for the International Conference on Gender & Sustainability (ICOGAS), featuring leading global strategists, academics, CEOs, and international leaders. She was also part of the organizing team of the business forum in Atlanta’s “Discover Global Markets.” The forum highlighted industry and country-specific access to emerging markets and opportunities and provided the tools necessary to succeed in Sub-Saharan Africa, leveraging trade finance and multilateral development bank resources necessary for these global markets to compete successfully.

As the current President of the Ex-Saker Students Association USA (ExSSA USA), an alumna group of an all-girls secondary and high school in Cameroon, she is a determined contributor, improving the living conditions of the 900-student boarding school by focusing on water sanitation, hygiene, fundraising, and scholarships.
