After completing his medical degree, Emmanuel completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology from the same university from which he received his medical degree. Starting in July of 2003, Dr. Esaka completed an internship at the Wheeling Hospital (Wheeling, West Virginia) with a focus on family medicine. From July of 2004 until 2008, Dr. Esaka completed a second residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. In his last year of resident, he served as chief resident. He received numerous awards such as the best laparoscopic surgical resident, highest scores in CREOG, outstanding resident teacher, best resident research publication and presentation of the year 2008.

 Dr. Esaka has numerous publications and articles in peer review medical journal. He has also written book chapters about obesity and pregnancy complications after weight loss surgery. Dr. Esaka is also a peer reviewer for several medical journals.

 Dr. Esaka also holds an MBA from the prestigious Auburn University School of Business, which he completed in May of 2010.

 Dr. Esaka is the Founder, CEO and Executive Chairman of Advanced Care Obstetrics and Gynecology INC in Wilmington, Delaware since 2010. The Clinic provides care to over 10,000 patients and has enjoyed an accelerated double digit revenue growth year over year. Dr. Esaka is also affiliated and has privileges at Christiana Care Hospital Newark, Delaware. He maintains medical licenses in both Pennsylvania and Delaware.
